I braved the mosquitoes to get some outside shots. Mosquitoes are TERRIBLE here right now. Are you having that problem? Probably not since all the mosquitoes seem to be in my backyard!
I'm planing for four blocks across and five rows down. Simple with eight inch squares surrounded by white. I think I like the big squares showing off the prints.
Only four more blocks to make, then it's time for the design wall and determining the layout for the quilt.
What are you working on?

Wow those look great. My favorite is probably the one of the left bottom picture with the black background and pink outline. The white borders really make the colors all stand out!
ReplyDeleteWow what gorgeous blocks! This quilt is going to be great. I hope those mosquitos leave you alone soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for braving the mosquitos for that nature shot of your pretty blocks! And yes, the mosquitos are horrible here. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking really pretty - I love the outdoors shots, though you would't get me outside with the mosquitos!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, and yay to you for using stash! I always get eaten by mosquitos when I venture outside, so I feel your pain. We have to spray down with repellent just to use my daughter's swingset in the middle of the summer. But the photos are totally worth it because they are cheerful and the background color makes the blocks stand out even more.
ReplyDeleteVery fresh looking blocks, the quilt will be amazing. Very lucky as mosquitos don't bother me, they seem to prefer hubby :)
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics ~ especially against the white background! Can't wait to see this one finished. :)
ReplyDeleteThis will be a bright and happy quilt, and fast to make is always a bonus.
ReplyDeleteYour photos and blocks are beautiful. My niece thinks we should get a pet bat. Have you heard how many mosquitos they eat a day? But I think that might be worse!
ReplyDeleteIt is fast and simple, but with your beautifull fabrics it will be a happy colorfull quilt. I love to see it finished
ReplyDeleteLove from Amsterdam
Wow, that layout siplays the fabrics in such a wonderful way. So beautiful! And I HATE mosquitos!
ReplyDeleteThose pretty prints look fabulous against the white background, Laney! We live on a hill. So the wind seems to keep all the mosquitoes away from our place. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! It's great using what you already have on hand sometimes, isn't it?
